The Yankees public address speaker since 1951 is Bob Sheppard. Maan, that is one long time to be doing a thing, he must have loved it. But hey if you love a team, you love a team. I'm sure The Yankees fans love Bob almost as much as their team.
Sheppard is 98 yrs old and is said to be considering retirement after beeing out of the game since 2007 due to the fact that he caught a serious case of pneumonia. Can you blame him for not wanting to try a comeback. Heck NO!
BUT, this isn't confirmed from the man himself. Amazing. Sources say that he has said "I never said it".
