It was the time of Led Zeppelin, Hendrix and Ozzy Osborne and the band Wild Cherry was having the best time in their career. The fan-base was very committed and was convinced Wild Cherry played a big part in the great seventies.
In the beginning Wild Cherry were playing in rock clubs around Pittsburgh. Nothing of value really happened to the band until 1975. The rock clubs disappeared and the band started doing gigs at disco clubs and bars. They were focused on heavy metal things but that was to change as fans wanted more funky stuff.
